CONVOCATION ST0LE
Woven
At National Institute Of Design, I aim to create a distinct convocation attire that reflects our values, traditions, and community identity. My goal is to design an ensemble that not only symbolizes our academic achievements but also unites us as a community, embracing our diversity and skills. Through this project, we have drawn inspiration from traditional Indian attire, such as sarees for women and kurta with churidar pants for men, while incorporating modern design elements to establish a distinct brand identity, adjusting it to suit our own values and aesthetic preferences, ensuring that our attire is timeless and represents our institution in every convocation.
This project seeks to provide clarity, alignment, and purpose as we move forward, ensuring that our convocation attire resonates with both tradition and innovation, setting a new standard for future graduates.

The choice to draw inspiration from lines in my design stems from a profound belief in the enduring power of shared memories. In settings like college or school, where diverse paths converge, these memories become the threads that weave our stories together. Each line creates its own framework, a unique space just as diverse as the paths we each have chosen. Each of us follows a unique trajectory, yet these paths intersect, creating a grid of connections and spaces like the inter disciplinary nature of NID where we share our thoughts and creativity. These lines, whether parallel, vertical, or horizontal, symbolise the journeys we undertake—a continuous movement akin to the flow of life itself. My design aims to capture the essence of these intersecting paths—the moments between starting and ending, where encounters with others shape our experiences and leave lasting impressions. Through lines, I seek to evoke the dynamic and interconnected nature of our lives, the space after its starts and before it ends.
